I would say get the best paper trimmer. I found that the cheaper one like the Fiskars $15-20 ones are good to start with and have around to take to crop get together but, also have one heavy duty rotary cutter. The rotary cutters will run around 50-100 but I would wait for a half off coupon from Joann or Michaels if I where you.
The cheaper one tends to cut uneven after awhile and will need the blade to be exchange frequently.

My cutterpede for paper trimmer its the cricut and is smaller investment than some of the other thing wouldnt be able to live without is my eyelet setter.
