		<description>It depends on what albums you are using, but I wouldn't recommend extending it more than 3-4 inches.  The album becomes too big and bulky and the weight of the pages puts more stress on the posts.  

You might consider doing one album per year or theme to reduce the bulk.

Many times people start out scrapbooking every single event and every single picture, but over time you learn to weed things out and only include the really good pictures or the pictures that "tell the story" of what happened.  You may find that the number of pages you do starts to go down a bit as you get further along.
