Difference between a scrapbook and a sketchbook?

I need to buy a sketchbook for school.
My mom says we have a scrapbook at home so she said I could use that.
Is a sketchbook and scrapbook the same thing or are they different? I really need to know! Only 4 more days until school starts!

      No, a scetchbook is a specially textured paper for drawing and a scrapbook is designed to glue pictures and articles in for keepsakes.

      Scrapbook is kinda like photo album sketchbook is for drawing in.
      Scrapbook is for drawing in.

      An art supply store or walmart sketchbook says sketchbook on the outside.
